From the President
Having established the foundation of an operational and international cooperation, we should now build a partnership around new actions and thereby allow the Université Téthys to play a true role within each partner establishment.
The relations established on the human and institutional levels form an entity of the greatest importance in the work towards reaching the objectives which we have set forth.
To mention a few, we must promote the experiences achieved by the lecturers-researchers educated through open distance learning (ODL); develop new educational contents, just by addressing the activities of the digital campus Avicenna; multiply master's degree level training across regions; expand the processes of common authorization and joint guardianship of thesis; develop exchange of courses and the student body who will benefit from this exchange.
This will also encourage the establishment of common training programmes and research programmes, strengthening links between laboratories, primarily on issues of interest for the community.
In short,
provide optimal conditions in order to contribute to the construction of a Euro-Mediterranean place for higher education and research.
The Université Téthys measures up to its ambitions as it represents an immense potential of expertise and energy,
and a supply of educational and scientific resources likely to meet the vast expressed educational needs, as well as the
needs for research, all for the benefit of the whole Euro-Mediterranean community. The willpower is obvious, and it will
undoubtedly be efficiently transformed into the planned actions. In this time of uncertainty, our Téthys community must strengthen the cultural and friendly links which unify us,
and create the best possible conditions in which to contribute to peace and prosperity in our common space. It is a unanimous
wish that each partner, I am certain, will associate to, and do everything in their power to carry out.
