It is to extend the field of scientific exchange and to ease the interconnection of the people of the Mediterranean community that the Université Téthys has chosen open distance learning, information and communication technology, and participation in large European programmes on regional subjects of common interest, as support to the deployment of its activities of higher education and research.
- Contributing in connecting the Mediterranean countries, which belong to the same geographical entity,
the Euro-Mediterranean region.
- Manifesting and promoting their regional particularities in the field of globalization.
- Favouring the cultural and economic co-development of this space and providing a veritable partnership
founded on respect and equality.
- Developing cooperation between Mediterranean universities which combines training and research.
- Favouring the appropriation of ICT in training, and developing distance training practices with the partners.
- Strengthening the distribution of knowledge and expertise for students, future leaders or newly-qualified
researchers of this Euro-Mediterranean space, thus contributing to the harmonization of higher level education
in a way that favours mobility.
- Proposing training programmes to project managers and lecturers-researchers of ICT in education and ODL,
specifically for Téthys.
