Because the Mediterranean area was one of the first where the economies were connected, and because the exchange of knowledge has become an important goal of our civilization, twenty-eight universities of the Mediterranean Basin have joined together in a digital network to create the virtual Euro-Mediterranean university Téthys.
The Université Téthys, rich in scientific and educational resources collected by the group of
partner universities, forms a never before seen concept of international cooperation based on sharing knowledge and expertise in the whole
Euro-Mediterranean Basin.
Téthys is a veritable instrument for interconnecting people and ideas over distances.
This network of universities is destined to extend towards other partners, other countries around the Mediterranean on order to further develop
this spirit of multilateral cooperation promoting "mutual enrichment".
Through their actions and involvement, the virtual Université Téthys and its associated networks are providing a strong and durable contribution
to the construction of a Euro-Mediterranean space for higher education and research.
