Development tools for ODL resources

Scenarii technique:

The technique, Scenarii chain, developed by the Université de technologie de Compiègne (UTC) is a tool which, from a single document, provides one PDF paper version of editorial quality as well as one web version, both easily deployed on local training platforms.

PVLog software:

The software PVLog server application server, developed by a professor of the Université de la Méditerranée, which is responsible for the Centre Avicenne du Savoir - France, is the simplest and most economical system available for automatic preparation of a unique document in multiple copies (XML technology), and publication of multimedia contents using computers and large screen displays (modelling, animations, videos,...) to form high level multimedia resources for ODL. This system can be completed by the software suite PVLog, composed by a collection of specialized software applications which can be used locally on a PC.

The Cellule d'Innovation Pédagogique (CIP) of the Université de la Méditerranée works to develop on one side innovating training services for the students, in both initial education and adult continuing education, and on the other side, numerous projects associated with distance learning. CIP is a support service for the groups of lecturers eager to implement innovative training methods based on the new technologies. It also assures the important role of cooperation and orientation.

The objective of the Cellule d'Accompagnement à "l´Ingéniérie de la Formation Ouverte à Distance" (CAIFOD) is to organize and implement support actions for the players of distance learning in higher education (lecturers, engineers, administrators, technicians, service personnel, and representatives of ICT in training). The support actions will respond to two needs:

- national actions (summer school, theme days, etc.) prescribed by the technology department,

- specific actions meeting the demands of an establishment or a digital campus.
