The Téthys/Interreg program is part of the Programme d’Initiative Communautaire INTERREG IIIB
Méditerranée Occidentale (MEDOCC) for 2000-2006. It is financed at nearly 50% by the Fonds Européen de Développement
Régional (F.E.D.E.R. - European Fund of Regional Development), and co-financed by national and territorial contributions
from the partners.
Divided into four subjacent axes and measures, we are now in the core of axis 1, measure 1.1: "structuring the
Mediterranean Basin by promoting and strengthening the economic, social and cultural ties between the two shores".
The goal is the constitution and mutualisation of a capital of scientific and academic knowledge on subjects
specific to the Mediterranean region, water in this case, enriched by taking cultural elements into account.
